Hemophilia

Our blood travels through the body like cars on a highway. When we get a cut, our body needs to stop bleeding, like cars using brakes after an accident. But in hemophilia, the brakes (called clotting factors) don’t work well.

That means the bleeding doesn’t stop easily, and someone can lose too much blood.

Doctors can help by giving those missing clotting factors, like fixing the brakes, so everything works well again.
